The Capella da camera Praga ensemble was founded in 2008 by Lukáš Verner, a double bassist with the Prague Symphony Orchestra, and the ensemble’s members comprise leading musicians from the Prague Symphony Orchestra (FOK) and their friends.
Capella da camera Praga
is the resident ensemble of the Prague Symphony Orchestra, dedicated to chamber music projects. It is unique in that, depending on the music being performed, the ensemble’s members switch from modern Romantic instruments to Baroque ones and commit to historically informed performance. Thanks to the versatility of all the musicians, its repertoire is very rich and encompasses music from various stylistic periods.
